Code of Conduct
The following code of conduct (our “Behaviour Code”) is applicable to participants and guests attending courses and or retreats hosted by Chrissie Chung & associates. By booking your course or retreat, you agree that you have read, and agree to comply with our Behaviour Code for the duration of your time at our course or retreat. The consequences of any failure to comply with our Behaviour Code are stated at the end of this policy. Please read the below carefully and let us know if you have any questions.
Our Behaviour Code
The purpose of our Behaviour Code is to ensure there is a safe and nurturing environment in the best interests of the welfare and protection of each of our participants. Participants are required to abide by our Behaviour Code and in booking a place on our course or retreat, you will be agreeing to comply with our Behaviour Code for the duration of the course or retreat.
1. Drugs or other materially similar substances: are not permitted on the premises or at any time during the course or retreat, save where a drug is part of an ongoing course of medical treatment directed by a medical professional and has been declared to us beforehand.​
2. Verbal or behavioural aggression: will not be tolerated, including, without limitation, passive aggression, towards other guests/ students, teachers/ facilitators and retreat staff at any time and/or gossip mongering, harassment, bullying, or any other similar type of behaviour towards or about other participants. .
3. Sexual harassment: We operate a zero-tolerance policy towards sexual harassment. This includes any express or implied, unwelcome verbal, written or physical attention by one person towards another, including, without limitation, suggestion, or innuendo, suggestive comments about appearance, obscene jokes, use of sexual language, and unwelcome sexual suggestions or advances.
4. Discrimination: of any nature, will not be tolerated whether towards participants, teachers, facilitators or retreat staff. We will not tolerate any participants who are found to discriminate or exhibit discriminatory behaviour towards any other person based upon the protected characteristics of age, gender (including pregnancy), race, ethnicity, culture, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, disability, socioeconomic status, genetic information, or any other basis determined by law as being discriminatory.
Consequences of your failure to comply with our Behaviour Code:
In the event of there being a material failure by a participant to comply with our Behaviour Code we reserve the right to require such participant to leave the retreat and under such circumstances:
I. You must leave the retreat within 6 hours of our reasonable request;
II. any refund of the fee for the course or retreat will be at our sole discretion; and
III. no refunds will be made by us for travel, meals or accommodation packages booked.
